1. Annual Gross Sales Desired:
Gross sales represents your total sales before deducting any of your expenses. Make sure you build your expenses into your Annual Gross Sales figure.

2. Total Annual Hours You Want to Work:
40 hours a week for 52 weeks equals 2080 hours. But most people would like to take a minimum of 2 weeks off for vacation, which would leave 2000 hours. Of course, you could plan to devote more or less hours -- it's up to you.

3. Percent of Hours Devoted to Business Admin and Marketing:
You have to spend time tending to the administrative tasks in your business as well as time to market and grow your business. You can't bill that time to your clients. Only time will tell what percentage of your time will be devoted to these tasks, but you may want to start with 25%.
